Here we present trading data from DNB’s equity trading service every month.

High level of activity among investors in May

Our trading data for May shows that in terms of the number of transactions, Kongsberg Gruppen was the most traded on the Oslo Stock Exchange in May, while the seafood company Salmar was best bought after a result in the first quarter, which was lower than expected. Other popular shares among the investors on the Oslo Stock Exchange were Frontline Plc, Norwegian and Vår Energi. Among the international shares, Novo Nordisk was the most commonly bought and most traded share as a whole.

Through May, the private investors on the stock exchange increased their activity to the second highest monthly level so far this year. As the main index rose 5.1 per cent, it was the net share sold for NOK 439 million. In total, shares were bought and sold for around NOK 13 billion in our equity trading service in May.
